READ IN Week: October 5-9

READ IN Week is an annual event dedicated to promoting literacy and fostering a love of reading across all age groups. This year's celebration, from October 5-9, 2026, marks the 37th annual READ IN Week in Edmonton. Held during the first full week of October, the event highlights the crucial role reading plays in schools, libraries, workplaces, and communities.

As a founding member, Edmonton Catholic Schools proudly supports the READ IN Week committee’s mission to strengthen personal and community bonds through the power of literacy.

Theme for 2026 - Let Stories Soar!

When we read, we open doors to new adventures and discoveries. This year's Read In Week theme, Let Stories Soar, celebrates how stories can take us to amazing new worlds and open our minds. Whether you're reading a book, diving into a comic or listening to a story, you can let your imagination soar. The magic of storytelling is always within your reach, ready to take you anywhere you want to go!
